Philip Stevenson Obituary

Philip John Stevenson, 75, died Wednesday, January 24, at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, after a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1942, in Batavia, NY, the second child of Howard and Virginia Stevenson. He graduated LeRoy High School, LeRoy, NY, in 1960, and was an eight-year veteran of the United States Air Force. Phil was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Tybee, was an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America for many years, and owned and operated Southside Glass Service at the time of his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a sister, Ginger; two sons, Mark (Joy) and James (Margaret); a stepson, Ronnie (Cheryl); three grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, and Jordan; and one great-grandchild, Riley.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, January 29, at Fox & Weeks, Island Chapel.

The Funeral will be at St. Michael's Church, Tybee Island, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 30. Interment will follow immediately in the Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, a gift to the charity of the donor's choice is appreciated.
