Phyllis Boyle Obituary
Phyllis graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in English and was happily married to Edward J. Boyle from 1953 until he died in 2012. Phyllis and Ed raised 7 children and in retirement found pleasure in golfing and traveling, especially on river boat cruises in the U.S. and Europe. Phyllis was artistic and adept at word games. She enjoyed reading, poetry, music, dressing up for Halloween, and spending time with family. She most recently lived at the Marshes of Skidaway Island.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Kathleen and Martin Allen, Matthew and Joan Boyle, Peter and Nell Boyle, Justin and Jen Boyle, Victoria and Kurt Scheider, Paula and Rob Strom, Samuel and Krista Boyle; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on September 28, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the church. The inurnment will be at 1:30 in the Catholic Cemetery Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity.
