Robert Linton Obituary
Bobby was born on September 8, 1961 in Savannah, GA to Lamar and Katherine Linton.
He graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School in 1979 and spent many years as a master mechanic. Later, he attended the Police Academy at AASU and became an officer for the Richmond Hill Police Department. His passion showed in every aspect of his life from raising his children to his work at the police department.
He is survived by his Wife Daphne Linton; Children, Robert L Linton III (Amanda),
Blake Allison (Brad), Briana Linton, Gracie Linton, Haleigh Linton, Kalley Linton and Ellie Linton; Grandson Cade Linton; parents, Lamar and Katherine Linton; Sister, Paige Saussy (Hunter); Brother, Mark Linton (Lisa) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Compassion Christian Church on Tuesday, May 14th from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a celebration of life ceremony to follow.

Bobby and I met in a class several years ago. I liked him right away. I could tell he was a man with great integrity and a love for people. Bobby was the example of what a Law Enforcement Officer should be. He was compassionate and fair. Bobby Linton will be greatly missed in the LEO community. I pray that his family will be comforted, knowing how loved Bobby was by us all.

I was saddened to here of the loss of such a fine man. Bobby represented the best of Richmond Hill and Richmond Hill PD. I admired his professionalism and enjoyed his friendship. He will be missed greatly. My sympathies and prayers are extended to his family and many friends.

Mr. Linton was an amazing man, always so kind and all around great guy! I am truest heart broken for his wonderful family and pray there is a sense of peace over all! He was an amazing dad and I heard nothing but how supportive he was! You will be missed!

Bobby was always a great guy. From the days of elementary school on through adulthood , he was fun to be around with his sense of humor. His intensity and focus was always present as well . He will be greatly missed . I wish the family well and for their hearts to mend soon. God bless.

I moved to Savannah in 1981 and Bobby and I shared an apartment together on East 49th. As two single bachelors living from pay check to pay check I can not begin to count the times that he would say "you fly I buy" because we lived off Krystal hamburgers, lol. He was a very talented man because I watched him over a year completely tear down an old Corvette and rebuild it from the ground up. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family because we have lost a good man way to early in life, God Bless You.
