Robert Mingledorff Obituary

Mr. Robert Ivan Mingledorff - GARDEN CITY - Mr. Robert Ivan Mingledorff, 96 of Garden City, Georgia, widower of Stella Myrick Mingledorff, passed away October 2, 2010 at Palm Meadow Court on Hilton Head Island, SC. Born in Guyton, GA, he was the son of the late Ivan B. and Irene Peavy Mingledorff. He was a member of the Chapel-In-The-Garden Presbyterian Church in Garden City and Clerk of Court, Clerk of Council and Treasurer of Garden City for many years. He was past Grand Master of the Frank Baker Masonic Lodge and a member of the Shriners. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum Corporation. He loved fishing, shrimping, crabbing, water skiing and his garden. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur C. Mingledorff and two nephews, Gerald I. Mingledorff and Penn Elton Myrick Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Wilson (Jim) of Bluffton, SC and Roberta Duvall (Dale) of Augusta, GA; a sister in law, Miriam Mingledorff of Newnan, GA; five grandchildren, Lucy Robinson of Bluffton, SC, Doug and Rob Wilson of Lakeland, FL, Rob Duvall (Jenny) of Bluffton, SC and Sarah Lawhorn (Troy) of Statesboro, GA; six great grandchildren, eight great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Chapel-In-The-Garden Presbyterian Church, 93 Main Street, Garden City with burial in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, GA following the services. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 am, Wednesday prior to the service at the church. The family requests memorial donations be made to Memory Matters, P.O.
