Stephen Blocker Obituary

Stephen L. Blocker - GLENNVILLE - Stephen L. Blocker 44, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. He was born December 2, 1969 to Loy and Bonnie Blocker and lived in Glennville all of his life. He was a 1988 graduate of Glennville High School and Southeastern Technical College with a 4.0 average degree in Photography. After graduation he started his own production company, Take One Productions, Louwald Entertainment and Stephen L. Blocker Photography Services. He was employed for many years at Strickland's Pharmacy, Glennville Sentinel and with the Tattnall County School System. He was the official videographer for productions of Jennifer's School of Dance and Tattnall Productions. Steve had a great comedic talent and will be remembered as a regular character in Jennifer's School of Dance recitals and the Anderson Family Christmas Program for many years. Steve was a talented actor and appeared as an extra in two movies made in Savannah. Steve was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church where he was very involved in helping with the church web site and the Awana program on Wednesday night. He also helped many other churches in the area with printing and photography services. He is survived by: Parents: Loy and Bonnie Blocker of Glennville; Sister: Stephanie (Jim) Dasher of Glennville; Brother: Stacy (Kellie) Blocker of Glennville; Nieces: Shelby and Summer Bowen; Nephews: James Dasher, Dixon Blocker and Carson Blocker; several cousins and other relatives also survive. Visitation will begin 6:00 pm, Friday, September 5, 2014, at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Glennville First Baptist Church with Rev. Oscar Rowe, Jr. and Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Glennville City Cemetery. Pallbearers: Eddie Holliday, Charles Blocker, Brent Blocker, Stuart Bland, Jason Leubner, Michael Leubner, Brennon Blocker.
