Steve Bannister Obituary

Steve Clarke Bannister, II - Blythewood, SC - Mr. Bannister died Saturday, September 23, 2006. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Steve Clarke Bannister and Susan Hendrix Cook. He was employed in the commercial construction industry as a welding inspector. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and animals. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his parents, Steve Bannister, I, and his wife Cathy Hollis Bannister of Blythewood; Susan H. Cook and her husband, Richard Cook of Savannah, GA; his beloved children, Stoney, Chey, and Tippy Bannister of the home; sisters, Lyndi Bannister of Savannah, GA, and Frankie Bannister of West Columbia; grandparents, Robert and Ann Hollis of Blythewood, Forrest and Lucille Hendrix of Columbia; special friend, Alexandra Marcotsis; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday evening at Shives Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Memorial Gardens of Columbia with The Rev. Curtis Robertson officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Sharpe, Ben Newman, Bryan Ridgeway, Paul Metze, Will Metze, Charlie Hendrix, and Wes Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Bubba McLean, David (DW) Price, and Greg Hendrix.
