To my grandfather. Hard to imagine that you're gone. Thought you would live forever. Our final memories of playing with your great-gran on the couch, (boop-boop :) toughening him up like you did Keim and me, will last in our minds forever. We are so happy to have had you in our lives. You will never be forgotten and the things that you taught us we will use every day as we continue our walk through life. Looooooooove you grandaddy! Words can't express the sorrow in our hearts when we learned of Sonny's passing. What a dear friend and wonderful neighbor. He blessed our lives so richly over 27 years ago. Our family thanks you so much. God Bless

Coach Burrell is the reason my two sons are top eight in the country as 1500 M and 3000 M Racewalk Champions. He brought out the best in them and in us as parents and fellow coaches. My heart grieves for the family as we struggle to cope with this tremendous loss. He may be absent in body, but his spirit is strong and ever-present. He is now our Guardian Angel.
We Love You Coach Burrell and we will carry on in your honor. Thank you for the incredible impact you have had on my children's lives and on the Silver Cheetah family. Peace, Blessings and Eternal Love,
