Wendell O'Millian Obituary

Wendell "Winnie" Stapleton O'Millian - Savannah - Wendell "Winnie" Stapleton O'Millian, 92, died December 22, 2006 at Hospice Atlanta. She was born in Bulloch County, daughter of the late Dr. C.E. and Pearl Lee Stapleton and was a graduate of Georgia Southern Teachers College. Mrs. O'Millian lived most of her life in Savannah and was a School Teacher in both private and public schools. She was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church. Her husband, Peter Paul O'Millian preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Marcia O'Millian Bray of Statesboro; Carla O'Millian Martin and Joe Martin of Alpharetta; two grandchildren, Jennifer Beron of Richmond Hill; Julie Bray of Claxton; one great grandson, Avery Olds of Richmond Hill and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park. Carla and Marcia and families, we were the neighor behind your mother at Isle of Hope, we were so sorry to hear about your lose. She will be missed tremendously. Jack and I miss seeing and talking with her. Our son Matthew still remembers visiting Miss Winnie. as she was known to us, and she always had chewing gum for him in the drawer in the kitchen. Please know that each of your are in our thoughts and prayers.
