Amelia "Molly" Martínez

1940 - 2021

February 5, 1940 - August 10, 2021 Amelia "Molly" Felipa Mart¡nez, 81, of San Bernardino, was born on February 5, 1940 in Newton, Kansas. She was the eleventh of sixteen children born to Ignacio and Maria (Neri) Mart¡nez. After graduating from Newton High School in 1959, Molly moved to San Bernardino, California in 1961 where she lived for 60 years until her passing on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home. In 1965, Molly began her career as a Nurse's Aid at St. Bernardine's Hospital in San Bernardino, until her retirement from SBMC in 2005. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in San Bernardino and will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Maria de Los Angeles, Berta Mart¡nez, Antonia Íslas, Rosemary Oquendo, Carol¡na Mart¡nez, & Dolores R¡oz; and brothers, Juan, Miguel, Ignacio Jr., Fernando, Manuel, Ricardo, & Armando. She is survived by brothers: Alberto Mart¡nez of Newton, KS, & Ben¡to Mart¡nez of Carson, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and Rosary will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Mt. View Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1640 Western Ave, San Bernardino, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial service immediately following at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery.
