Beatrice Riley Obituary
Gramma Bea
Died Feb. 4, 2014, at the age of 95 at her home in Oak Glen of congestive heart failure.
She was born Nov 16, 1918 in Logan, UT to Luther M. Winsor and Beatrice Snow.
Gramma married Ray E. Riley on Aug 8, 1942, and they lived in Inglewood and Arcadia CA until they moved to Oak Glen with most of her family on Riley's Farm.
Gramma was very active in her church and was an avid tole painter as well as quilter, embroiderer, crocheter, seamstress, knitter, doll maker and many other homespun arts. She was always a devoted wife and mother, and loved being surrounded by family.
We will miss her beyond measure, but rejoice that her suffering is no longer as she endured multiple infirmities for many years.
Gramma is survived by her 5 children, Mike of No. Ogden, UT; Dennis of Oak Glen, Susan Cross of Rapid City, SD; Jim of Oak Glen and Scott of Oak Glen as well as 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, husband Ray and daughter Colleen preceeded her.
A service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 306 E Avenue L Calimesa, CA 92320 (909) 446-8878, followed by an interment service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 11251 Desert Lawn Dr. Calimesa, CA 92320 (909) 795-2451, followed by a lunch for friends and family at Rileys Farm in Oak Glen.

My life is better for having known Sister Riley. She was always kind and genuine to me and exuded a powerful gentleness. I"m envious of her reunion with Colleen (whom I also remember with fondness) and wonder what that must be like. Though I have had no recent interactions with them, Sister Riley helped raise an amazing family with whom I had the privilege of associating. My thoughts, love, prayer and admiration go out to all of them.

A REMARKABLE lady. During our early days in California going to school and broke, we used her telephone, her car and often her food.. She generously provided taxi service, friendship and sisterly advice. She is gracious, modest, christ-like and we love her VERY much. Our thoughts and prayers are with each one of you who are blessed to be part of her unbelievable family....
