Jesse Avilez Obituary

JESSE MOSQUEDA AVILEZ passed away on January 25, 2006 at home in Fontana with his family by his side. He was born on January 20, 1918 in Guanajuato, Mexico. He came to San Be rnardino at the age of five. He became a naturalized citizen when he served in the Army during World War II. Jesse met and married wife Teresa in 1948 and thus began their "love story". Jesse and Teresa subsequently moved to Fontana where they raised their family. Jesse worked at Kaiser Steel in Fontana for over 33 years and retired in 1980. Jesse and Teresa celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Annversary on April 10, 1998 in the company of their family & friends with a grand party. Jesse danced with his brid e and they both enjoyed themselves tremendously. Jesse will be remembered as a strong, gentle man. He taught his children honesty, responsibility, faith, pride, generosity and most inportantly, love. The love Jesse & Teresa shared was the heart of their family and this legacy will be carried on thru their children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Jesse is survived by Teresa, his beloved wife of 58 years; sons, Max & daughter-in-law Cynthia of Mesa, AZ, Jesse and daughter-in-law Margaret of Rancho Cucamonga, Ruben and daughter-in-law Pattie of Bell Canyon, CA; daughters Anita Rios and son-in-law Frank of San Bernardino, Gloria Horn and son-in-law Mike of Hesperia, Terri Sanchez and son-in-law Ricky of Fontana, Irma Pacheco and son-in-law James of Rialto, Rebecca Hernandez and son-in-law Federico of Fontana; sisters Manuela Esparza of Fontana, Grace Mota of Colton; 29 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; his caregiver Nora Hernandez; a host of nephews, nieces and a multitude of friends. We woul d like to thank the hospice program with the Visiting Nurses Association and a special thanks to Dr. Aaron Rubin with Kaiser Fontana. Viewing Tuesday, January 31st, 4-8PM with Rosary at 7PM at Green Acres Chapel on Cedar Ave., Bloomington. Funeral Mass at Resurrection Catholic Church, Fontana on Wednesday, February 1st at 11:30AM with burial to follow at Green Acres Memorial Park
