Joe Michaelson Obituary

Dr. Joe Michaelson Joe, 75 passed away after a long battle with heart problems. He had been a teacher before earning a doctorate in clinical psychology and spent years as a school psychologist for Redlands School District. Before retiring from the district he started a private practice where he counseled troubled youth and families until his death. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Yucaipa. He was predeceased by his son Rob and wife Teresa. He leaves behind a daughter Jennifer (Gino) Martini and two grandsons, Nico and Reno and a brother John (Faith) Michaelson and sister Anne Michaelson. Services will be held November 10, at 2:30 at the United Methodist Church in Yucaipa.

I wanted to offer my condolences to the family. Dr. Joe (as I used to call him) was a remarkable man. I will forever fondly remember the countless conversations and laughs we had. May you rest in peace Dr. Joe.
