JOHN WARNICK

1944 - 2022

08/22/1944 - 02/19/2022 Dr. John Willard Warnick, 77, of Oroville, Ca, previously San Bernardino, Ca, passed away suddenly on February 19th at Stanford Medical Center. John was born to Helen and Roy Warnick on August 22, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Warnick Family then moved to Muscoy, Ca in 1946. In 1963 John graduated from San Bernardino High School. He then went on to work for The Teamsters at California Motor Express. John loved to drive, if it had a motor he was driving it. He obtained many licenses to drive including a plane, logging truck, side loader and motorcycle, but his favorite was his car, a '69 canary yellow GTO he custom ordered from the dealership. John went on to further his education with degrees he obtained from San Bernardino Community College AA&BA, Humboldt State MA, UCSF where he earned his Doctorate in Psychology. John retired from the California Department of Corrections as a psychologist then settled down and married again in 1984 where he then started his family. He was a loving father and grandfather who is cherished tightly. He was always smiling and sharing happy words and positive vibes. He truly was the light and his family's life who will be forever missed. John is survived by his sister Veronica Driskill of San Bernardino, his six children Robert Gaffney, Jennifer Lancaster, Shannon Williams, Helen Warnick, Carolyn Warnick, and Rodrick Warnick, 17 grandchildren and the 18th due in October and also survived by his two furry companions Piranha and Little dog all of Oroville, Ca. John was predeceased by his parents Helen and Roy Warnick, brother Raymond and sister Camilla Talbot of Grants Pass, OR. Services for John will be Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 12 p.m. in Oroville, California at The Municipal Auditorium, 1200 Meyers St. The service is open to the public and will have lots of family, friends and memories so come and help celebrate John's life and share your memories.
