John Hamilton Wiley
Passed away January 28, 2012. He was 98 years old and a resident of Yucaipa for 60 years. He was born on October 3, 1913 in Uvalde, Texas and moved to Hollywood, California at a young age. John was a World War II Naval Veteran serving on the USS Croatan. His service to his Country meant a great deal to him. His careers included twenty four years with the County of San Bernardino where he retired from at the age of 84, being one of the oldest County employees on record. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, who he was married to for 73 years, a daughter, Patricia A. Hamilton (Ken), two sons, John H. Wiley, Jr.,
(Tandi) and James A. Wiley (Dale); eight grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3rd, at 12:00pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, in Yucaipa with internment following at 2:00pm at Montecito Memorial Park in Loma Linda.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th Street, NW Washington, DC, 20006, in the memory of John Hamilton Wiley.
