Hey lil Marlene! What you up to girl? Well, I can just imagine that you have taken over that little piece of heaven you're in. You always lit a room whenever you walked in. Say hi to Mom and dad when you see them, and always, always know how much you are missed! We love you MIJA!!

Four years have passed and the sadness and sense of an unfinished life may never go away. I still see you in my dreams where you are younger and healthy but in the dreams you're always teasing me mercilessly like hiding my car keys. You'll never be forgotten. Love, Eileen

I can now think of you and smile only because I know you have found such peace and joy wherever your beautiful spirit has taken you.

I think about you all the time, Marlene. Whenever Mom and I are together your presence is always felt. I hope you are finally at peace. You left us so quickly without a chance to fight for your life. I wish we had had more time. Isn't that what it all comes down to? At the end all I could do for you was sit by your bedside and hold your hand and talk to you. I hope you knew I was there. It was the first time in my life I had seen you so quiet and still. And it struck me how beautiful you were. I love you and miss you.

Marlene had a beautiful spirit and a beautiful soul! I can hear little gramma cackling after Marlene made her laugh. As a matter of fact, she's making everyone laugh in heaven. Can't believe it's been a year already! God bless you mija!

Lil' Marlene, what can I say, but I found this, that may say it all: "I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake from which I'll never part. God has you in His arms, I have you in my heart. "

There a lot of memories I have of "lil" Marlene but the memories I have are when she was a little girl and of her early teens. I remember she was always full of energy, all the time. I remember one time talking to her when she had half her body under the hood of a car she was trying to fix. She had the most beautiful smile, always ready with some silly joke. And I remember she had a very beautiful singing voice. Her laughter will be missed. We never know why loved ones are taken from us so young. Only God has can answer that question. I guess heaven needed a little spicing up a bit so he sent for Marlene. You will be missed mija. Give Gramma and grandpa a big hug for me will you? Love you always! Sally and Art

My heart is broken, little sister. Why were you taken from us so young? I hope you knew how much you were loved. You will always be in our hearts. Be at peace.
Love you always, Eileen
