Paul Thornton Obituary

LT. COL. PAUL EDGAR THORNTON, Ret., 90 10/04/1919 - 02/13/2010 Escondido Lt. Col. Paul Edgar Thornton, Ret., former resident of San Bernardino, passed away in San Diego on Saturday, January 13, 2010. He was born in Whittier, Calif., son of Milton and Marie Thornton. Paul served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, and was a Budget Analyst for the Aerospace Industry for 15 years. He loved to spend time at the Wild Animal Preserve in San Diego and loved to travel. Paul is survived by his companion of 33 years, Bonnie Smith; two daughters, Sandy (Mark) Brown, and Pam Hudson; four grandsons, Chris and Jeron Brown, Eric Hudson, and Corey Wapniarski; granddaughter, Lindsay Thornton; and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Robert Thornton; and extended family, Christie and Rob Berg and their children, Jessie, Cody, and Annie, a nd Pam and Ray Lombardo and their children, Tauri and Tim. Committal Services with Honors will be private at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside. Allen Brothers Mortuary, San Marcos, CA.
