Rebecca Victor Obituary

REBECCA (ALBA) VICTOR September 26, 1934 October 26, 2018 Lake Arrowhead resident Rebecca (Becky) Victor passed away at home after a short illness in the presence of her husband and five daughters. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Retired Judge A. Rex Victor and daughters Margaret Victor, Elizabeth Victor (James Chadwick), Catherine Burns (Brad Burns), Carol Victor, Carmen Victor (Rene White), her sister Irene, Irene's husband Retired Navy Captain Steve Young and her sister-in-law, Janet Alba. Also surviving her are eight grandchildren: Ryan and Clayton Burns; Elena, Isabel and Joseph Chadwick; and Rex, Beatrix and Margaret White. She was preceded by her parents, Sam and Elena Alba, brothers Rudy and Joe and sister-in-law Gloria. Becky was born on the Farrell Ranch in Chino, raised in Ontario and attended Chaffey High School and Chaffey College. Becky was noted among her family, friends, and anyone else who would listen, for bragging about her extraordinary children and her even more extraordinary grandchildren. A 42 year resident of Lake Arrowhead, Becky worked as a real estate agent during her children's high school and college years. She promptly resigned real estate after the kids graduated. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Becky was also a devoted garage sale and thrift store junkie. Price bargaining rose to the stature of an art form, driven by bragging descriptions of new acquisitions. With the passage of time most of those household treasures have again been recycled to the Mountain Thrift Shop. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 2, at 1pm at St. George Catholic Church, 505 N Palm, Ontario, followed by interment at Bellevue Memorial Park, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in her name to the Mountain Thrift Shop, P.O. Box 1434, Blue Jay, 92317.

Apologies for the late response, I just discovered this online. I'm so very sorry to hear about Becky. I worked in the Salon at the Reaort and was privelaged to meet Becky and her family. I was able to meet her husband and a different daughter each time she would come get her hair and nails done. They all were so friendly and I got to hear what a great mother she was. Working with Becky was always a pleasure! My deepest condolences to the Victor family~God Bless Becky and your sweet family~

We are so sorry to hear of Becky's passing. As teenagers my sister and I spent time with Elizabeth and her mom, Becky, at the Victor home. Our father, Daniel Martinez knew Becky from childhood, and recalled his visits to the Alba family market in Ontario. I always loved Becky's sense of humor, and the way she loved to set a fancy table for a dinner party, then photograph the results. Much love to all the family - Rex and all the girls. Our prayers go out to you.

Michele Martinez, and family, Lake Arrowhead

I did not know Becky personally, but I knew her well through my 29 year friendship with Carol.
I knew she was friendly, compassionate and warm. At times I wished I too could be wrapped in her warm embrace and lighten my load.
I knew she took an unusual satisfaction from cleaning house and I envied Carol her mother's visits.
I knew she was immensely proud of her five daughters and shone in their light. I sensed that shining light from Carol.
I knew her daughters could do no wrong in her eyes and I envied that unconditional love.
I knew she was the matriarch of five highly intelligent, spirited and passionate women but I did not envy their dinner table, I was intimidated by it. :)
I will miss Becky, through Carol.

I did not know Becky personally but I knew Becky pretty well through my 29 year friendship with Carol.
I knew she was empathetic, compassionate and warm. I knew she was a tremendous source of support for her daughters and there were times I wished I could call her up and lighten my load.
I knew she took an usual amount of satisfaction from cleaning house and I envied Carol her mother's visits.
I knew her children could do no wrong in her eyes and I envied that unconditional love.
I knew she was immensely proud of her family and they shone in her light. I could sense that light through Carol.
I knew she was the matriarch of 5 intelligent, spirited and thoughful daughters. I could imagine what their dinner table might be liked and I did not envy that dinner table - I was intimidated by it. :)

Condolences dear Victor Family. You are truly blessed for having someone that loved you so purely and deeply. I've never met anyone with such pride for her brilliant and beautiful husband, daughters, grandchildren and son-in-laws. My nina was a kind and beautiful soul. If there are bargains in heaven, my dad has scoped them out for her. Love Bernadette
