Our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather Robert F. Dircks passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on June 6, 2022 with family present. He was a long time resident of Upland, CA. Robert was born on May 17, 1932 to Harry and Mae (Bartholomey) Dircks in Jersey City, New Jersey. Robert was preceded in death by his 4 siblings Henry Dircks, Muriel Guszkowski, Eugene Dircks, and Howard Dircks. Robert attended catholic schools his entire life graduating in 1950 from Holy Trinity High School in West Field, New Jersey. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he received a scholarship to play baseball and basketball at University of North Dakota from 1956 to 1959. During this time Robert met and married the love of his life, Dolores J. Dircks on December 20, 1958 at which time it was his idea to adopt her two older children.
