Theodore "Ted" Harp Jr.

THEODORE "TED" HARP, JR. passed away quietly at his home in Hemet, California at the age of 76. Ted was born in Los Angeles and was a respected journalist for many years. He was an investigative reporter for California newspapers throughout the state. His career included assignments with The Los Angeles Mirror, The San Francisco Examiner, The South Bay Daily Breeze, The Ontario Daily Report and The San Bernardino Sun T elegram. A high point in his career was an award from the University of Missouri School of Journalism for Best Investigative Story. Ted served with the Navy from 1945 to 1948. He served at sea along the coast of China and began his journalistic career as the Associate Editor of the Naval Air Transport Service monthly magazine. Ted retired early from the newspaper business to create his own business. Victorian Photographique Gallery, specializing in authentic Victorian portraits from the past. He took great pride in maintaining his business for 30 yrs. Ted is survived by his two sons, Theodore Harp, III (Molly) and Ethan M. Harp; and his grandchildren, Alicia and Sean Harp. Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 2, on Friday, June 18, at 10:15 AM. Arrangements entrusted to Evans-Brown Mortuary in Perris.
