Trinidad Peña Avila

1939 - 2022

In Loving Memory Trinidad Peña Avila March 24, 1939 - January 4, 2022 Trinidad (Trini) Avila, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away in the early hours of Jan. 4, 2022. A lifelong resident of San Bernardino, CA, Trini dedicated her life to raising her children and later her grandchildren. She took pride in hosting wonderful family parties and she always made any guest in her home feel completely welcome. She was known for her amazing cooking and had a thriving catering business that spanned over 30 years, simply by word of mouth. She really did show her love for others by feeding them (even if you weren't hungry, you were still going to eat!) Family holidays and special events will not be the same without Trini there to put her touch on organizing and making her delicious meals. Her children and grandchildren will cherish the memories and the love that she put into everything she did for each one of us. We are very thankful for the lessons she taught us and the guidance she gave us. Rest with the angels mom (grandma), we will do our best to make you proud~Until we meet again. Trini is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Raul F. Avila, her sister Sophia (Tony), her only daughter Dina (Bobby), her three sons Daniel, Anthony & Eric (Veronica), nine grandchildren Bobby (Renee), Danielle (Sal), Ronnie (Sarah), Sabrina, Daniel Jr., Justin, Erica, Jaden, Eric Jr. and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Raul Avila, her parents Alfred and Emily Peña, her sister Mary Ann Peña Contreras and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Fermin and Lupe Avila. Memorial services: Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Mt. View Mortuary, 560 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, Ca 92404 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Mass on Friday February 4, 2022 St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1640 Western Ave. San Bernardino , Ca 92411 at 11:00am. Interment at Mt. View Cemetery at 12:30pm. Reception to follow at Knights of Columbus, 2392 Western Ave., San Bernardino, Ca 92411.
