Barbara A. Petrousky, 81, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at her home.
Born April 20, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Powlick and Mary Crage.
Barbara worked many years as a secretary librarian for the North Schuylkill Jr./Sr. High School.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Girardville, where she also taught CCD classes.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Petrousky; a grandson, Edward Wascavage; two brothers, Ralph and Bernard Powlick; three sisters, Agnes Hercek, Mary Lushinsky and Betty Gentry.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, John Petrousky; a son, Andrew Petrousky, of Minersville; two daughters, Barbara Wascavage with her husband, Edward, of Ashland, and Karen Dade with her husband, Brian, of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Brittani, Brianna, Andrew, John, Lindsay and Dana; along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., 40 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Girardville, by Father Giuseppe Esposito. Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. the following day, Wednesday, Sept. 14, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. To offer condolences, please visit www.oravitzhomeforfunerals.com.
