Carol Ann Nettles, 60, of Port Carbon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, on June 8, 1961, she was a daughter of Michael and Barbara (Myro) Quercia, Port Carbon.
Carol was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1979. She worked as a caregiver for Ability in Motion in Reading. Carol was a foster parent for over 19 years and loved going to the casino.
In addition to her parents, Carol is survived by her husband of 41 years, David T. Nettles, Port Carbon; daughter, Amanda Tray and her husband, Shawn, Lake Wynonah; son, David Nettles and his fiancee, Trysha, Schuylkill Haven; daughter, Alexis Nettles and her husband, Michael Davenport, Minersville; grandsons, Nova and Kenny; sister, Judy M. Quercia, Saint Clair; brothers, Michael Quercia Jr. and his wife, Terry, Port Carbon, and Richard Quercia and his wife, Lisa, Frackville; and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration or Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon, with Pastor Douglas Schwenk officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be held private.
