Christine M. Hale, 88, of Saint Clair, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at Providence Place, Pottsville.
She was born May 19, 1933, in Saint Clair. Christine was a daughter of the late Joseph Corby and Christine (Scholly) Corby.
She was a member of the former St. Boniface RC Church, Saint Clair, and was currently a member of St. Clare of Assisi RC Church, Saint Clair.
Christine attended St. Boniface grade school and she graduated from Saint Clair High School in 1952.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Hale, who passed away in 2013. Also, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph M. Schival Jr., who passed away in 1959. In addition, Christine was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Hale, who passed away in 2014; a brother, Joseph Corby.
She is survived by a son, Joseph N. Schival III, husband of Regina, of Spring City; a daughter, Christine M. Czachor, of Saint Clair; a son, Thomas D. Hale, husband of Lisa, of Pine Grove; a son, James J. Hale, husband of Patty, of Saint Clair; a daughter, Karen Adams, wife of James, of Saint Clair; a son, Eric Hale, husband of Lynn, of Port Carbon; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Hale, of Schuylkill Haven; 14 grandchildren, Michael, James, Nicole, Cory, Brian, Ashley, Gregory, Keith, Kelsey, Lily, Noah, Austin, Luke and Jacob; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair, with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines. Interment will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Saint Clair. The family would appreciate contributions to St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St., Saint Clair, PA 17970. James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, is in charge of arrangements.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Christine. Yes, we both attended St. Boniface School many years ago. May God Bless the family at this time of sorrow.

So very sad to hear of Aunt Chris´ passing and our deepest sympathy to all. So many good memories were shared on "Hale Hill" ... blessed to have been a part of so many family gatherings. Our thoughts, prayers, and love to all.
