Constance Elaine "Connie" Rudy, 85, of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 29, at her residence with her son and grandsons by her side.
Connie was born Jan. 3, 1936, in Auburn, a daughter of the late June (Runkle) Homewood and Harold Rudy.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg, and worked as a seamstress operator in Orwigsburg for over 40 years. She was a devoted Christian who read Scripture every day.
Connie was predeceased by her brother, Gary Rudy, and her other very close friend, Agnes Masler.
Connie is survived by her son, Edward Jay Rudy Sr., of Orwigsburg; three sisters, Judy, wife of Bill Bair, Brenda, wife of Brian Baver, and Beverly, wife of Dennis Baver; brother, Doug Homewood, husband of Linda. She is also survived by three grandsons, Edward Jay Rudy Jr., Dustin Garrett Rudy and Hayden Philip Rudy; very close friend, Sandy Mendini.
A religious service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Orwigsburg. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Interment will be private.

So sad to lose a good friend. We had many good times over the years. She was completely devoted to her son, Ed. Connie led a good life and is surely resting
