Daniel J. Vale Jr., 72, of William Penn, Shenandoah, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 5, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th Street, Allentown.
Born July 17, 1949, in Shenandoah, he was a son of Dorothy (Cudo) Wisniewski, who survives and resides in Shenandoah, and the late Daniel J. Vale Sr.
Daniel was a 1967 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. He was employed in the construction industry as a concrete technician prior to his retirement.
Mr. Vale was a Navy veteran, having received the National Defense Service Medal.
Dan was of the Catholic faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and attended many concerts. Dan enjoyed football, with his favorite team the Oakland Raiders. His trips to North Carolina brought great joy to him. He treasured the time spent with family and friends at holidays and special occasions.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his stepfather, Ray Wisniewski, of Shenandoah; three daughters, Lee Ann Jones, of Girardville, Lori A. Vale and her fiancé, Paul Shuey Jr., of Hegins, and Danielle Vale Mozdy and her husband, Joseph, of Manteo, North Carolina; four granddaughters, one grandson, one great-granddaughter; one sister, Diane Monlish and her husband, Dan, of Shenandoah; one brother, David Vale and his wife, Mary, of New Mexico; aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Dan's life will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. Scripture services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian officiating. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in care of the arrangements.
