David K. Mumma, 95, of Pottsville, formerly of Farm View Road, Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, in Providence Place, Pottsville.
Born on Sept. 29, 1926, in Penn Twp., Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Daniel Mumma and Stella Ruth Kulp Mumma Fry.
He was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove.
David was a carpenter and plumber.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 73 years, Marian Wenger Mumma, on Nov. 6, 2021; and three sisters, Esther Heisey, Naomi Witmer and Martha Groff.
Surviving are three daughters, Gloria, wife of the late John Roger Stewart, of Osceola Mills, Ruth Ann, wife of the late Tony Donofrio Jr., of Schuylkill Haven, and Nancy, wife of Randy Schriver, of Palmyra; a son, Jay, husband of the late Maureen Mumma, of Bethel; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Mike Barnhart officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, c/o Lois Lehman, 26 Pine Hill Road, Pine Grove, PA 17963, in her memory.
