Dorothy Barbara (Kuentzler) Artz passed away in the early morning hours of Feb. 23, 2022, with family at home.
She was the beloved wife of the late Mahlon R. Artz, who died in 2007. They were married for 55 years.
Born Aug. 21, 1929, at home in Branchdale, to the late Albert C. and Barbara V. (Pothering) Kuentzler Jr., Dorothy was the eldest of five girls.

Dorothy's career as a registered nurse spanned 50 years. She worked in various hospitals in Pennsylvania, NYC, California, Maryland, New Hampshire, as well as for an insurance company and lastly for Greenbriar Nursing Home, Nashua, N.H. Dorothy was an excellent nurse, both in practice and compassion. She was very proud of her strict nurse training and attended St. Joseph's Nursing reunions through 2016. There was no one else like Nurse Dorothy.
She was a devout Roman Catholic who rarely missed an opportunity to share her faith with everyone she met. Dorothy was most generous with her family and was always trying to help anyone in need.
