Eric A. Wiest

Eric Alan Wiest, 59, of Hegins, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

He lived graciously and courageously in many ways, and by inspiring and teaching us, he won his battle in very important ways. He was born Thursday, Jan. 16, 1964, to Claus M. and Joanna (Troutman) Wiest.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rini A. (Lettich) Wiest.

Eric was a man of faith, many hobbies and numerous talents. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Dr. Logan A. Wiest and wife, Katie, Kendra A. Wiest and companion, Dr. Edgar A. Trevino, and Alaina A. Ace and husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Cartie, Wayne, Charlie and George Wiest and Savannah and Wynter Ace; sister, Wendy Klinger and husband, Tim; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, 135 Emmanuel Church Road, Gratz, with the Rev. David Bubb officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Valley View.
