Florence Marteusz Obituary

Florence Marteusz, 88, of Mahanoy City, passed away Saturday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Mahanoy City, March 11, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Wassell Tichy.
She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City.
A 1943 graduate Mahanoy City High School, she had worked at Eagle Bros. Shirt factory, Mahanoy City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marteusz; and a sister, Theresa Redcliff.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Marteusz, husband of Jeanette, Middleport; sister, Bernadine Goshow, Philadelphia; brother, Joseph Tichy, Drifton; grandson, Joseph, Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Jillian, Middleport; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Mahanoy City.
The family prefers donations to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.
