Jason F. Gonzalez, 28, of Port Carbon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021.
Born Nov. 2, 1992, in Bronx, N.Y., he was a son of Israel and Johanna (Quinones) Colon.
Jason was a graduate of Minersville High School.
He loved playing basketball, riding his dirt bike and most of all, spending time with his kids.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marcelino and Carmen Colon.
Jason will be sadly missed by many and is survived by his three children, Jason F. Gonzalez Jr., Adam N. Gonzalez and Journee Gonzalez; two sisters, Alisha Chambers and Destiny Seranfini; four brothers, Elijah, Israel, Isaac Colon and Mark Morales; his maternal grandmother, Gloria Quinones; two uncles, Israel and Pedro Quinones; aunts; uncles; cousins.
A religious service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon, with Pastor Francisca Aguayo officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from noon to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with Jason's funeral costs to Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon, PA 17965.
