Jean Wood Obituary


November 12, 2008

Jean M. Wood, of 300 Lewis St., Minersville, died Wednesday afternoon at her home.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Doris Reinhart Dalton. She attended Pottsville schools.

She was retired from the Costas-York candy store.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Pinky" Wood, in 1979.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Sterner, Minersville, and Laura Wood, Lancaster; a son, Benjamin, Pottsville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to either the Salvation Army or Hillside SPCA.

Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville, is in charge of arrangements.
