Joan D. Webber, 85, of Schuylkill Haven, died Saturday at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

Joan was born in Saint Clair, April 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Herbert and Blodwyn Williams Davis.

She was the widow of Joseph Webber Jr., who died in 1989.

Joan was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and attended West Chester University, studying music.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven, where she sang in the choir for numerous years.

She last worked at M&T Bank, Pottsville.

She was a member of Landingville Fire Company helping for numerous years, Golden Girls, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Schuylkill County and Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens.

Joan is survived by a daughter, Judy Matukewicz, Schuylkill Haven; two grandsons, TJ, husband of Lauren Matukewicz, Orwigsburg and Brett Matukewicz, Orwigsburg; great-grandchildren, Kolby and Grayson Matukewicz.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to Landingville Fire Company, Schuylkill Haven PA 17972, or American Heart Association P.O. Box 15120 Chicago, IL 60693. Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences for the family can be sent to Cremation service is conducted by Riverside Cremation Services LLC, 25 E. Main St. Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Sorry to hear about lossing Nana Joan, she truly was one great lady I had the pleasure of meeting many years ago. I will always remember her for her smile and her laughter. Steven and Jeffrey loved her just like there own Grandma.
