Margaret "Maggie" Shelhamer, 62, of Pottsville, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 9, in her residence with her family by her side.
Born March 4, 1961, in Sharon, Pa., she was a daughter of the late William and Shirley (Allen) Balint.
She was a 1979 graduate of Indiana High School, Indiana, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Maggie was a homemaker the majority of her life. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Mark T. Shelhamer, to whom she was married 39 years; three daughters, Samantha M. Hardy, wife of Cody, of Spring, Texas, Jessica M. Shelhamer, of Dallas, Texas, and Heather N. Shelhamer, of Plano, Texas; a son, Zachary M. Shelhamer, of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Sherry Vandeneck, wife of Richard, of Indiana, Mary Beth Palilla, wife of Vincent, of Indiana, and Maura Laughlin, wife of Bill, of Cary, N.C.; a brother, William Balint, husband of Amy, of Indiana; grandchildren, Adalyn and Mark; several nieces and nephews.
