Michael C. Tranosky, 66, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at Geisinger St. Luke's in Orwigsburg.
Born in Pottsville, on Feb. 21, 1956, he was a son of the late Paul Tranosky and Evelyn M. (Weaver) Tranosky Doyne and Thomas Doyne.
Mike was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1974, and then earned an associates degree from Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in Lancaster in 1976 in sheet metal. Mike worked for many years in the sheet metal industry and then became the water treatment plant operator for Blythe Township Water Company, working until retiring in 2018. Mike loved fishing, hunting, all Philadelphia sports and, most of all, he loved being around his family.
Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon L. (Long) Tranosky, a daughter, Tina M. Tranosky, and a son, Michael A. Tranosky, all of Orwigsburg; a brother, Ronald P. Tranosky and his wife, Donna, Pottsville; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon, with Pastor Jack Murray officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Furever Home Rescue, 1798 Tanglewood Road, Orwigsburg, PA 17961. Please send condolence to www.robertaevansjrfh.com.
