Olga Gogar Obituary

Olga Gogar, 72, of 243 S. Middle St., Frackville, died Friday at home.

Born in Frackville on Jan. 31, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Wasil and Julia Hupcey Gogar.

She was a member of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Yastishock and Margaret Kopach.

Surviving are four sisters, Anna Masinick, with whom she resided, Helen Zurat, Shoemakersville, and Julia Melnic and Eva Smolock, both of Frackville; a brother, William Gogar, Knoxville, Tenn.; many nieces and nephews.

Divine Office of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday from St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Main Street, Maizeville. The Rev. Archpriest John M. Fields will officiate, along with her nephews, Monsignor James T. Melnic and the Rev. Charles M. Yastishock. Friends may call from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, with Panachyda at 9:30 a.m. at Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., 9 N. Lehigh Ave., Frackville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 45 S. Second St., Frackville, PA 17931. Interment will be in Assumption of the BVM Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Centralia.
