Peter Pouchan Obituary

Peter P. Pouchan, 73, of Saint Clair, formerly of Burndt Hills, N.Y., died Friday at Rest Haven nursing home, Schuylkill Haven.
Born in Saint Clair, Oct. 2, 1936, he was a son of the late John and Catherine Czarick Pouchan.
He was a graduate of Saint Clair High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy during peace time. He served as a radio operator on the USS Somers.
He had worked for Van Heusen.
He was a member of St. Mary Holy Dormition Byzantine Catholic Church, Saint Clair.
Survivors include four brothers, John Pouchan, Royersford, Michael Pouchan, Fort Meyers, Fla., Daniel Pouchan, Springfield, Va., and Adrian Pouchan, Harrisburg; five sisters, Justine Schwenk, Granville, Ohio, Monica Pouchan, Saint Clair, Paula Pouchan, Saint Clair, Mary Klemer, Harrisburg, and Catherine Hannick, King George, Va.; and cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Holy Dormition Byzantine Catholic Church, Saint Clair, with The Very Rev. Ronald C. Barusefski officiating.
Friends are invited to call James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc. from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. Panachida will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. The funeral procession to the church will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
There will be no calling hours Tuesday.
James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, has charge of arrangements.
