Richard (Rick) Alois, born Jan. 13, 1952, in Pottsville, residing in Hinton, W.Va., passed away Jan. 1, 2022, after a short illness.
Rick was a son of Arthur Alois and Doris Laudeman Alois.
He was a 1969 graduate of Pottsville Area High School and a 1973 graduate of East Stroudsburg State College, where he majored in economics.
He retired from Mobile Lifts, Collegeville, Pa., in 2018, where he was VP of sales.
He relocated to a mountaintop retreat in Hinton, W.Va., with his wife of 48 years, Jacqueline Tomalavage, and his beloved dog, King Tut. He was active in the community, especially Kiwanis, and enjoyed boating, fishing, kayaking and working on his farm.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, originally from Pottsville; brother, Arthur Alois and wife, Jane, of Monson, Mass.; sister, Caroline Trezise, of Pine Grove; niece, Robin Lynn and husband, Ron Koch, and children, of Schuylkill Haven, Eric Trezise and children, of Cressona, Jeremy and Erin Trezise and children, of Saint Clair, and Kate and Paul Balog and children, of Rocky Hill, Conn.
