Tecla A. Garbarino, 88, formerly of Frackville, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 26, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Shenandoah, Nov. 28, 1932, she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine Mikolyczyk Koszyk.

She was a graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School, Class of 1950.

Tecla worked closely with her husband, Ernie, at Ernie's Photography Studio, Frackville, for many years.

She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and doing puzzles. A member of the Frackville Senior Citizens, she liked going on many of the day trips they offered.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Garbarino; sisters, Helen Waddell, Elsie Igielski, Dorothy Yezalinus, Agnes Wargo, Florence Kostowski and Judy Orzechowski.

Tecla is survived by her son, Charles P. Shaulis Jr. and companion, Kathy Molnar, Gilberton; a sister, Rose Rydzy, Shenandoah; several nieces and nephews.

Private religious services will be held Tuesday at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, with the Rev. Brian Miller as celebrant. Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Tecla she was such a great person I have so many great memories of Tecla going to the casino, playing cards and doing all the activities at providence place me and my husband were both directors at providence place we were so lucky to meet a good friend like Tecla she will be missed
