Theresa Joyce "Terie" Anderson

1952 - 2022

Camano Island - Theresa Joyce Anderson (70) - Terie to all who knew and loved her - passed away on December 15, 2022 at her home on Camano Island. Born on January 24, 1952 to Patricia and Lester Bennett in Southern California, where she grew up and met her husband, Steve. Steve and Terie married in 1970 and recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary with a long-delayed trip to Alaska and Denali National Park. They had two girls, Amber and Jennifer, and their family life led them from California to Colorado and eventually to Washington.

Terie was always a giver. She started a preschool in California and later started a coffee cart staffed by developmentally challenged high school students in Colorado. In her younger years, she wrote a cooking column for the local paper. Her love of food translated into a lifetime of feeding others and providing dessert to everyone.

She loved being a wife, mother, and especially a grandmother. Her impact on those who loved her extends far beyond what the words on the page can describe. She will be terribly missed.

She leaves behind her husband, Steve; daughters Amber (Villa) and Jennifer (Christopherson); grandchildren Kody, Jacob, Samantha, and James; son-in-law Adam; brother Gary and sister-in-law Susan; nieces Joy, Janie, and Jill; and friends spread far and wide across the country.
