We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Don Wyman Wise, age 85, who died on Friday, November 11, 2022, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born on February 22, 1937, in Timmonsville, SC, he was the son of the late Jimmie Wise and the late Ila Yarborough Wise. Mr. Wise served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army National Guard. After his service, he owned and operated Don Wise Realty in the Florence, SC area until his retirement and subsequent move to North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Don loved spending time with his family, supporting the Carolina Gamecocks, and cracking jokes. He was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church of Florence, as well as a Master Mason and Shriner, who will be dearly missed by his family and many cherished friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Alice Harrell Wise; two sons, Wyman Wise and wife, Callie Jean, and Brad Wise and wife, Taylor; three grandchildren, Dechlyn Wise, Christian Wise, and Sawyer Wise all of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and sister, Bobbie Jean Benton of Greensboro, NC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wise was predeceased by his brother, Charles "Buddy" Wise.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence, SC with Reverend Trey Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the cemetery.
