Sawyer Jr.
Frank Sawyer Jr. ,born September 25, 1953 in Darlington, SC to the late Frank Sawyer Sr. and Ira Mae Scott Sawyer. He passed away on December 1, 2021 in Walterboro, SC. At an early age Frank became a member of Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1971 graduate of Mayo High School and a 1975 graduate of Livingston College. He then taught in NC schools. Later Frank served in the US Army, owned/operated Pee Dee Taxi and worked at Southside Middle School.
Graveside services will be 2:00PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc. of Darlington. Mr. Sawyer's viewing will be 12:00 noon-6:00PM Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the funeral home.
Please follow Covid-19 protocol. Wear a mask and social distance at both. The family is not receiving friends at this time.

My name is James R. Samuel; I was trying to contact my friend Frank and found this obituary. I am shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. Frank and I were college roommates and were on the football team together at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC in 1971.
