Kenneth L. "Kenny" Blankenship, 59, of Hartsville died on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
A celebration of Kenny's life will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Florence. The family will receive friends following the service. Services are directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home and Crematory of Darlington.
Kenny was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Florence. He worked for Sonoco Products in Hartsville for 39 years and served as a first responder with Swift Creek Fire Department. Kenny loved spending time with his family and friends. As an avid outdoorsman, Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and hiking.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Jennifer Spray Blankenship; his children, Michelle Blankenship Bryant and husband, Trey, Zachary Blankenship and wife, Sabrina, MyKenna Blankenship, and Hunter Blankenship and girlfriend, Gracie Helms; his grandchildren, Silas, Luna, and Atticus; his sisters, Nancy Jamerson, Pat Eubank, and husband, Cecil, and Anita Large and husband, Frank; many loving nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Allen Edmondson, and Noel Salmons.
Kenny was preceded in death by, his parents, Irene and Curtis Blankenship; his brother, Donnie Blankenship; brother-in-law, Tommy Jamerson; and mother-in-law, Jacque Linderman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited, One Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN 38120, or National Wild Turkey Foundation, 770 Augusta Road, Edgefield, SC 29824, or to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1201 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC 29501.
