Mary Eunice Kennedy Rogers, 85, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at McLeod Hospice House.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Sumter, SC, the daughter of the late Vivian Ellen McFaddin Kennedy and Arthur Bair "A.B." Kennedy. She was also predeceased in death by her brothers Robert Eugene (Sheila) Kennedy from Sumter and James Larry (Dianne) Kennedy from Timmonsville. She moved to Florence at the age of 3 and graduated from McClenaghan High School in 1958. She devoted her life to her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend to all who crossed her path. She never met a stranger and always had a kind word to say to everyone. In her later years, she attended Florence Darlington Technical College and earned her CNA Certificate, began working as a sitter and then worked at Walmart before retiring. She was a member of the Leonora Chapter Order of Eastern Star and an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers loved to enjoy life, nurtured animals, laugh, sing and had a green thumb.
Surviving are her son, Robert L. Brown; daughters, Pamela B. Murray (David C.), Robin Brown, Joye Brown, and Jean (Gary) Flohr; the father of her children, Robert Barge Brown, Jr.; six grandchildren, Christopher D. Murray, Talon L.
