Hoppie
Paul Charles Hoppie, 73, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022.
Mr. Hoppie was born the son of the late Bernadine Flanagan Hoppie and Jay Hoppie. He was an electrical engineer and retired from Otis Elevator after fifty years of service. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, music, and woodworking. Mr. Hoppie was a model train enthusiast and was a member of the Grand Strand Model Train Club. He was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears and was a Cubs fan. He was always active in his children's lives.
Mr. Hoppie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgine Braun Hoppie; son, Christopher (Joanna) Hoppie; daughters, Heather (James) Lantzy and Tracie (Lucas) Algood; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lantzy, James Lantzy II, Colton Algood and Catelyn Algood; brothers, Patrick Hoppie, Jay (Maryellen) Hoppie, Jr., John (Roxanne) Hoppie and Peter (Anita) Hoppie.
A Vigil Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Chapel.
Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
