Corporal Sara Kinsy Weaver, 32, was fatally injured in the Line of Duty, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in Florence, SC.
Corporal Sara Weaver was born on May 30, 1990, in Florence County, daughter of Darman Wayne Weaver and Christine Helen O'Neill Weaver. She was a member of Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church and was Saved and Baptized at Great Commission Ministries. Corporal Sara Weaver was a 2008 graduate of East Clarendon High School, where she played basketball, softball, and was a cheerleader. She served briefly in the United States Air Force. Corporal Sara Weaver was a Nationally Certified Paramedic and an Acting Crew Chief with Florence County EMS.
Surviving are her fiancé, Ashley Marie Welch; parents, Darman Wayne (Amy Hatchell) Weaver and Christine Helen O'Neill Weaver; sisters and brothers, Jessica Michelle (Kelly) Weaver, Kenneth Christian "KC" Weaver, which she referred to as Bubba; Nikolas Chase (Kelly) Stone and Taylor Elizabeth Wise; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Wayne Weaver; maternal grandmother, Linda Helen O'Neill; grandmother, Geraldine Reason Hatchell; aunts, Kelly (Bill) Scaccianoce, Mindy O'Neill and her daughter, Asiling; niece, Blakely Renee Stone; nephew, Jameson Rayce Stone; in-laws, Tammy (John) Edwards and Bobby Welch; and her Florence County EMS Family.
Corporal Sara Weaver was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Amarell "Mel" McKenzie Weaver; maternal grandfather, Hugh Francis O'Neill; and uncle, Hugh Francis O'Neill, III.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lake City.
The family received friends from 5:00 â€" 8:00 PM, Friday, August 12, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Codegreen @codegreencampaign.org or the upcoming Sara's Shield.
