LYNCHBURG -- Services of Remembrance for William "Billy" Alexander Tomlinson age 81 will be held 11:30am Thursday from the First Baptist Church of Lynchburg. Pastor Tommy McDonald and Pastor Jim Ridenhour will officiate. Burial will be in the Lynchburg Presbyterian Cemetery.

Mr. Tomlinson passed away with his loving family by his side on August 24, 2021. He was born in Lynchburg, SC the son of the late James Alfred and Grace Moore Tomlinson. He was a lifelong member of Lynchburg Baptist Church, where he served as a former deacon, Sunday School Director and RA Director. As a lifelong farmer, he founded Tomlinson Farms of Lynchburg, LLC. He was also an avid coon hunter and loved to drive his mules.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann McCaskill Tomlinson, Lynchburg; daughter, Meredith (Jerry) Williams, Lillington, NC; son, Zan (Mary Adele) Tomlinson, Lynchburg; sister, Tommye Grace (Bob) Morris, Tucker, GA; grandchildren, Eli Tomlinson, Lee Williams, Mazie Tomlinson and John Duncan Williams.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Tomlinson and a sister, Mae Heath.

Memorials may be made to the Lynchburg Presbyterian Cemetery, C/O Watson Tolson, 104 Tolson Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080.
