Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Anthony "Tony" Drontle, age 76, who died Tuesday at Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 5th at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Saturday morning at the funeral home.
Tony was born in Richmond to Peter and Ida (Braegelmann) Drontle. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. Tony enjoyed farming, fishing, playing cards, and watching the MN Twins and Vikings. He especially loved spending time with family. Tony was a member of St. Boniface Parish and Cold Spring American Legion Post 455.
Survivors include brothers and sisters, Marcella Mueller, Bernice (Ted) Kremers, Marie (Lawrence) Hansen, Martha (Bob) Salzer, Peter, Jenny (Jerry) Buerman, Terri Brunner, Liz (Jim) Loecken, Ray, Ralph (Sue), and Margaret (Fred) Imdieke, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence; sister-in-law, Lorraine Drontle, and brothers-in-law, Erwin Mueller, and DuWayne Brunner.
