Brenda was born on January 28, 1966 in Red Lake to Clarence Longclaws and Avanell Greenleaf. She was raised by Beverly and Donald Skjonsby. Brenda enjoyed her television shows and was involved in many activities at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home where she lived for a short time. She was a strong person who loved her family, especially her children.
Brenda is survived by her parents, Donald (Beverly) Skjonsby of Cushing; mother, Avanell Greenleaf of Red Lake; father, Clarence Longclaws of Red Lake; children, Nathaniel Collins of St. Cloud and Kirsten Skjonsby of Foley; siblings, Matthew (Rhonda) Skjonsby of Cushing, Lynda Olson of St. Anthony, Clare (Patricia) Skjonsby of Eagan, Candice Olson of St. Anthony and Ronald Longclaws of Red Lake.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Brenda's daughter, Kirsten, this school year. Brenda had to be a wonderful mother because Kirsten is a very beautiful girl with a beautiful smile, a beautiful heart, and a great sense of humor. I wish I could have met Brenda.

Just read in the paper and heard about Brenda. Quite a while back I remember meeting her and her son through Matt and Rhonda. My sympathies and prayers to the entire family.
