Clara E. Stadtherr, age 93 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Interment will follow in Calvary cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Parish Prayers will be held at 5 p.m. followed by the Christian Mother's at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Clara Elizabeth Koch was born November 26, 1918 in Melrose, Minnesota to Bernard and Mary (Enneking) Koch. During World War II, Clara went to Oakland, California to work as a welder at the Kaiser Ship Yards. On December 15, 1944 she married Albert Stadtherr in Seattle, Washington after he returned from serving at sea with the US Navy. Clara enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafts, gardening, and traveling with friends.

Clara was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and the Befrienders Group.

Clara is survived by her children, Ron (Jan) Stadtherr of Backus, Carol (Bob) Theisen of Grey Eagle, Linda (Ray) Ley of Sartell; nine grandchildren, Eric Stadtherr, Kristi (fiancé Jerry Mallams) Stadtherr, Paul Theisen, Beth (Jay) Heinze, David Theisen, Lisa (Jason) Martagon, James Theisen, Andrew Ley, and Allison Ley; three great-grandchildren, Reece and Pierce Heinze and Ellie Stadtherr; sister, Winnifred Sarrack of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Rita Koch of Alexandria; and brother-in-law, Melvin Spaeth.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Stadtherr on August 31, 1998; infant son, Kenneth on December 16, 1949; parents; brothers, Alphonse, Lawrence, Raymond, Norbert, and Bernard Koch; and sisters, Johanna Friedrichs, Hilda Black, Loretta Vogel, Valeria Patterson, and Rose Spaeth.
