Nov. 5, 1940 - July 24, 2015
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for David Brix who died Friday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Cloud. The Rev. LeRoy Scheierl will officiate and entombment will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11AM Tuesday at the church in St. Cloud. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
David was born in Richmond to Albert & Mathilda (Ergen) Brix. He grew up in the Cold Spring area. He served his country in the United States Navy. He married Doris Iten on May 8, 1965 at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Luxemburg. He worked as a salesman for O'Malley Buick in St. Cloud for many years. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud and the Waite Park American Legion Post #428, and St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622. David enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of St. Cloud; children, Darren (Jenny) of Sartell; Dan of St. Cloud; DeAnn (Tim) Schreifels of Rogers; Debbie (Jason) Stang of Buffalo; six grandchildren, Ben & Emily Brix, Alex & Erin Schreifels, and Jacob & Ellie Stang.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Wayne.
A special thank you to the staff at Centracare Hospice and Quiet Oaks Hospice House for their excellent care for David and his family.
